Railroad man : reprise de Blackfoot
Have a good time : compo de Natchez
Rockin' in the free world : reprise de Neil Young
Street fightin' man : compo de Natchez, rien à voir avec celui des Stones (qui s'écrit "fighting", justement Very Happy)
I know a little : reprise de Lynyrd Skynyrd
Looking out the window : compo de Natchez
China Grove : reprise des Doobie Brothers
We're gone : compo de Natchez
Balinese : reprise de ZZ Top
Hard to handle : reprise façon Black Crowes (eux-mêmes repris de Otis Redding)

Message  Danny Dim 7 Oct - 15:58

Embarassed)

Catch the spirit Empty Paroles de Catch The Spirit

Message  Danny Dim 7 Oct - 23:27

Railroad Man (Blackfoot)

Well, yeah, yeah, yeah...

One of these mornings, it won't be long
Captain's gonna call and I'll be gone
I'll be nine hundred miles away from home

Well, you can count the days I'm gone
You can tell the train I'm on
You can hear the whistle blow as she rolls by

She rolls by, she rolls by
Hear the whistle blow as she rolls by

My olden shoes are worn
My olden clothes are torn
And I hate to go home now this-a-way

This-a-way, this-a-way
Hate to go home this-a-way

Well, if my Mama she says so, I'll railroad no more
I'll side-track my train and go home
And go home, and go home
Side-track my train and go home

If I die a Railroad Man
I wanna be buried in the sand
So I can hear old No. 9 as she rolls by

She rolls by, she rolls by
Hear old No. 9 as she rolls by

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Have A Good Time (Natchez)

We're in town
We're here to have a good time
She's a lady
She's really got to be mine

Stand ??? there can't be no one away
Listen up, I got something to say

Are you ready
We'll gonna have a good time
It's so easy
To really have a good time

Have a good time

So get a chop(per ?)
And we are out for the night
With my lady
Things will get real tight

Like I told you no one gonna stay (?)
Listen up, I got something to say

(chorus)

(solo)

Are you ready
We'll gonna have a good time
Come on baby
You wanna have a good time

Got more (my ?) whisky
We're here to have a good time
It's so easy
To really have a good time

Have a good time
Have a good time

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rockin' In The Free World (Neil Young)

There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin' their feet
People sleepin' in their shoes
But there's a warnin' sign
on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin'
we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can

Keep on rockin' in the free world (4x)

I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she's gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she's done to it
There's one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool

(chorus)

We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores
and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes
for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people,
says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn,
got roads to drive

(chorus)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Street Fightin' Man (Natchez)

Baby don't you worry
Baby's got the blues
I'm leaving home and you should have known
That my heart was already used

I gonna travel along without you
Ain't got no time to waste
Diesel towns and whisky bars
In the name of the human race

I'm going down the road, I'm a heavy load
I'm going down the street, I'm a hurricane
Street fightin' man

So now I got it made
Made in the shade
Right or wrong in a ??? town (?)
No matter what I'm gonna say
I've got a whole wild world
Right in front of me
So yell it ??? and gimme ???
And tell me how it's gonna be

(chorus)

(solo)

(chorus)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I Know A Little (Lynyrd Skynyrd)

Yes sir...

Well the bigger the city, well the brighter the lights
The bigger the dog, well the harder the bite
I don't know where you been last night
But I think mama, you ain't doin' right

Say I know a little
I know a little about it
I know a little
I know a little 'bout it
I know a little 'bout love
And baby I can guess the rest

Well now I don't read that daily news
'cause it ain't hard to figure
Where people get the blues
They can't dig what they can't use
If they stick to themselves
They'd be much less abused

(chorus)

Play me a little, oh yeah
Yeah

(solo)

Well if you want me to be your only man
Said listen up mama, teach you all I can
Do right baby, by your man
Don't worry mama, teach you all I can

(chorus)

Well I know a little 'bout love
Baby I want your best

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Looking Out The Window (Natchez)

I was looking out the window
To check out the latest news
I saw the lone man (?)
So I tried to make the right move

Here at the warehouse
Were things go easily
Only counted the bright men (?)
It'll boot you in the bad mood (?)

Don't you hear them
Don't you hear them

I was running out of patience
'till I f??? for you
Oh what a child, what a child I was

Over and over you keep singing your song
The same old footsteps in the sand
Together we stand, and we're making up strong (?)
So why don't you give me your hand
Have a little look around you

Baby don't you hurry
I'm changing all the rules
Don't try to hide
Ain't got nothing left to lose

Living downtown
It's a real mystery
What about love
It burns so easily

Don't you hear them
Don't you hear them

So I'm looking out the window
I'm feeling something new
Looking out for the last time
It's time for something brand new

(chorus)

(solo)

Well you know, things don't come so easily
All you have to do is give me your hand
Tell me why, why don't you give me your hand

(chorus)

Oh look around, baby...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

China Grove (Doobie Brothers)

When the sun comes up on a sleepy little town
Down around San Antone
And the folks are risin' for another day
'round about their homes

The people of the town are strange
And they're proud of where they came
Well, you're talkin' 'bout China Grove
Oh, China Grove

Well, the preacher and the teacher
Lord, they're a caution
They are the talk of the town
When the gossip gets to flyin'
And they ain't lyin'
When the sun goes fallin' down

They say that the father's insane
And dear Missus Perkin's a game
We're talkin' 'bout the China Grove
Oh, China Grove

But every day there's a new thing comin'
The ways of an oriental view
The sheriff and his buddies
With their samurai swords
You can even hear the music at night

And though it's a part of the Lone Star State
People don't seem to care
They just keep on lookin' to the East

Talkin' 'bout the China Grove
Oh, China Grove

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We're Gone (Natchez)

If you see me comin' straight on
I'm the last man you'll see
You'll feel it comin' out strong
Here in the last place, last place to be

Hey baby I won't do you no harm
I'm just completely, fully untied
Come and play with me and break down
Wanna leave you outside

I'm caught in a jam
I can't see clear in my dreams
I can't understand
Makes me smile when you scream

I know this can't be right
I'm lying right awake in my bed
I'm on a night-time flight
Take away the pain from my head

Hey baby do you remember me now
I'm just the guy next door
Can't believe that you need some more
Wanna ??????

(chorus)

(solo)

(chorus)

Oh take away, take away the pain from my head...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Balinese (ZZ Top)

Deep in the South of Texas
Not so long ago
There on a crowded island
In the Gulf of Mexico

It didn't take too much money
Man, but it sure was nice
You could dance all night if you felt all right
Drinking whiskey and throwing dice

And everybody knows
It was hard to leave
And everybody knows
It was down at the Balinese

Yeah, I remember Ruby
She always dressed in red
Wearing skintight pants, Lord, and how she could dance
With a rag wrapped around her head

(chorus)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hard To Handle (Otis Redding)

Baby, here I am
I'm the man on the scene
I can give you what you want
But you gotta come home with me

I have got some good old lovin'
And I got some more in store
When I get through throwin' it on you
You gotta come back for more

Boys and things that come by the dozen
That ain't nothin' but drugstore lovin'
Hey little thing let me light your candle
'cause mama I'm sure hard to handle, now,
Gets around

Action speaks louder than words
And I'm a man of great experience
I know you've got another man
But I can love you better than him

Take my hand, dont be afraid
I'm gonna prove every word I say
I'm advertising love for free
So you can place your ad with me

Boys come along a dime by the dozen
That aint nothing but ten cent lovin
Hey little thing let me light your candle
cause mama I'm sure hard to handle, now,
Gets around

(repeat verse 1)
(repeat chorus 1)

LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW

I was looking out the window to check out the latest news
I saw the lawman so I tried to make the right move
Here at the wearhouse where things go easily
Only count it right man, it’ll put you in the bad mood
Don’t you hear them
Don’t you hear them
I was running out of patience, till I feel for you
Oh what a child, what a child I was

Over and over you keep singing your song
The same ol’ footsteps in the sand
Together we stand and we’ll make it out strong
So why don’t you give me your hand

Well have a little look around you

Baby don’t you hurry, I’m changing all the rules
Don’t try to hide, got nothing left to lose
Living downtown, it’ a real mystery
What about love, it burns so easily
Don’t you hear them
Don’t you hear them
So I’m looking out the window, I think there’s something new
Looking out for the last time, it’s time for something brand new

WE’RE GONE

If you see me coming straight on
I’m the last man you’ll see, yeah
You feel it coming on strong
You’re in the last place, last place to be, yeah
Hey baby (I) won’t do you no harm
I’m just completely fully untied
Come play with me and breakdown
Won’t leave you outside

I’m caught in a jam
I can’t see clear in my dreams
I can’t understand
Makes me smile when you scream
I know this can’t be right
I’m lying wide awake in my bed
I’m on a night time flight
Take away the pain from my head

Hey baby do you remember me now
I’m just the guy next door
I can’t believe that you need some more
One leash and we’re gone

STREET FIGHTIN’ MAN

Baby don’t you worry, baby’s got the blues
I’m leaving home, you should’ve known that my heart was already used
I gotta travel on without you, ain’t got no time to waste
Desert towns and whiskey bars, in the name of the human race

I’m going down the road, I’m a heavy load
I’m going down the street, I’m a hurricane

Street fightin’ man Street Fightin’ man...

So now I got it made, made in the shade
Right or wrong, do or die, no matter what they’re gonna say
I’ve got the whole wide world right in front of me
So yell it out and gimme five and tell me how it’s gonna be

HAVE A GOOD TIME

We’re ‘n town, we’re here to have a good time
She’s a lady, she’s really got to be mine
Stand up there can’t be no other way
Listen up I got something to say

Are you ready
We’re gonna have a good time
It’s so easy
To really have a good time

So get sharp and we’re out for the night
With my lady, things’ll get real tight
Like I told you I’m not gonna stay
Listen up I got something to say

Are you ready
We’re gonna have a good time
C’mon baby
D’ya wanna have a good time
Got my whiskey
We’re here to have a good time
It’s so easy
To really have a good time

But I can love you better than him

Take my hand, dont be afraid
I'm gonna prove every word I say
I'm advertising love for free
So you can place your ad with me

Boys come along a dime by the dozen
That aint nothing but ten cent lovin
Hey little thing let me light your candle
cause mama I'm sure hard to handle, now,
Gets around

(repeat verse 1)
(repeat chorus 1)

Yeah, merci Manu pour les paroles correctes ! Very Happy

Wink )
